Live, LIVE, Love (Pronounced: Live-Lyve-Love) is the new live album from Clara Rose and her band plus special guests.
The album was recorded over two shows in Arthur’s Blues and Jazz Club (Dublin) and The Garage Theatre (Monaghan) in the spring of 2020. With the help of funding from the Music Industry Stimulus Package from First Music Contact Clara brought the raw sound files to Les Keye in Arad Studios (Dublin) and they embarked on a magical mystery tour of music, mixing and mastering to produce this album.
September 2014 has and is a great month for Clara Rose inc…
I kicked things off with 2 stomper gigs at the Harvest Time Blues in Monaghan. This was with the full band and we had a rockin’ weekend rolling around Monaghan, hearing some amazing artists and rocking out at our own gigs. What a brilliant festival and melting pot of all kinds of blues and all in the town of Monaghan! Long may it continue 🙂
My first appearance in Dublin’s famous venue The Olympia is coming up this Sunday 21st September. I’ll be performing with The Don Baker Band at a fundraiser for Gaza through Amnesty International. On the ‘Gig for Gaza‘ bill are a host of other great acts; Paul Bray, The Stunning, Francis Black, Paddy Casey and Big September. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
I’m flying to Bella Italia next weekend to perform in Tricesimo (1 hour north of Venice) at the Madame Guitar festival. I’m really looking forward to this festival and soaking up the last of the autumn sun (and red wine!!) in Italy.
Friday 25th July: Clara will launch her new E.P “Queen of the Late Night Radio” in Adamsons of Clones – in her home County of Monaghan. The Clara Rose band will play a stormer two hour set. Get rockin’ down to Adamsons on Friday night!
Notes: Whelan’s, one of Dublin’s most iconic music venues, is hosting the Bluegrass Country & Roots Festival on July 25th, 26th and 27th July showcasing the best up and coming talent emerging from Ireland!
Featuring four fantastic bands, with a mixture of roots, trad and rock, the show will run from 8pm to 11pm giving you the chance to experience the real taste of an Irish pub session with a country twist! The best part? This festival is completely free!

Clara Rose “Queen of the Late Night Radio”
– A new 4 track E.P –
A live studio recording
The E.P was engineered by Gavin Ralston (Silverwood Music) at The Meadows Studios (Wicklow) – her 8 piece band played live and the magic was captured both on audio and visual mediums. Four tracks in five hours. A video of each track is available on the Silverwood Music Youtube Channel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAVLXxZ0XNo&list=PLtL1Udy2xa0rejuQVTt9tawRnXf-RkV9P
The E.P featuring guest artists, Cathy McEvoy (fiddle) and Don Baker (harmonica on “Queen of the Late Night Radio”). Clara’s collaboration with Don began in 2013 when she was a featured artist on his album “My Songs, My Friends”. She is fresh from a lauded nationwide tour with Don Baker and they are planning future collaborations.
She had a recent successful solo tour of Austria/Switzerland/Italy with the “Celtic Spring Caravan” and will spend the rest of 2014 promoting her new release.
An exciting month as I launch my brand new, LIVE RECORDING of 4 tracks! The E.P is titled “Queen of the Late Night Radio”.
I recorded the E.P in The Meadows Studios with my 7 piece band and special guests, Cathy McEvoy on Fiddle and Don Baker on harmonica. We did the recording “old school” and live – the band are cookin’ and I hope people will enjoy the ‘live’ sound! The session was engineered by Gavin Ralston.
There will be some “pre sales” at my gig in The Cafe Sessions, Chapter One Cafe, Cavan on Thursday 22nd May.
Fresh from her European tour Clara Rose is set to go around the country for a wee tour in April/May 2014. She is mixing things up a bit – some full band gigs, acoustic solo gigs, 2 piece, 3 piece, some with “Mama Liz” and some guest spots with The Don Baker Band. You never know what might happen!
These gigs will all culminate with the BIG launch party in The Grand Social on 29th May – Clara Rose will perform with her band as part of The Silverwood Label Launch Night – E.P’s will be on sale for the first time on this night!
Go to the “GIGS” page for a full list of upcoming gigs. Rightey Ho… talk soon x

Clara Rose and her 8 piece band took to “Easton Studios” (Delgany, Wicklow) for “The Silverwood Sessions” at the end of January to record a new 4 track E.P. In true “old school” style they recorded the full band live in session. The session was also filmed. The E.P will be released with a lead single in the Spring of 2014 which will be available for download. The tracks will also be available in video on youtube and Vimeo.
The live session was engineered by Gavin Ralston (Silverwood Studios) and his trusty crew and the session was filmed by Kerbute Productions and their lovely crew!
The recording features 9 musicians in total and I feel so privileged to work with them all:
Clara Rose (vocals/guitar)
Cormac McCann (keyboards/grand piano)
Claire McLaughlin (Backing vocals)
Liz Monahan (Backing vocals)
Sean Beatty (Electric Guitar)
Ronnie O’ Flynn (Bass)
Michael Black (Drums)
Guest: Cathy McEvoy (Fiddle)
Guest: Don Baker (Harmonica)
Watch THIS space for the release of the tracks and videos!
Clara Rose has an exciting few months coming up with a new video release (in partnership with Odessa Visuals) and then a very interesting recording project planned for January 2014. This will involve her amazing 8 piece band with special guests, all new material and an audio-visual package for Clara Rose fans. This release will be the much awaited follow up to her debut album “A Portfolio” (2010) and hopefully you are as excited about it as she is!
